Qualification

So yesterday I spoke about my new website and how I’ve deliberately made some controversial design decisions. This is all for one purpose. To qualify visitors to the site.

There’s no attractive imagery. There’s no explainer videos. There’s only a squirrel. Who needs more than a squirrel?

In fact, it’s a whole load of text. Lots and lots of it. Hopefully decently written, but that’s what it is.

Why?

Because, if you don’t fancy reading that amount of text, if you haven’t got time for it, or it’s not important enough to you or if you choose your suppliers based on flashing lights, then you’re probably not the right fit for me.

It’s harsh, but I don’t have time to deal with people who won’t read what’s in front of them. And some of the stuff we’re doing will need you to pay attention.

So, sorry, if you don’t like the website, it’s probably for a reason. Of course, the fact that you’re reading this means you automatically qualify. You’re lovely.

Take action: Who do you say no to?
