How do you compete against Fiverr?

How do you compete against Fiverr?

How do you compete against Fiverr?

I mean there are people on there doing what you do and charging $10/hour.  Or less.

How on earth can you compete against that?

The thing is you don't have to.

They don't do what you do.  They just use the same words that you do.

Clients don't care about "Wordpress websites" or "ReactJS components" or "CSS flexbox".

They care about the impact this project will have on their business.

They care about saving money.  Or making money.

They care about being able to sleep at night.

They just don't want to take risks with their business.  Which is why someone charging $10/hour might be appealing - if the freelancer screw up at least they've not lost lots of money.

But do you think they want to hire someone that's going to screw up?  Or would they rather invest the money in someone who's going to get the job done, without any risk?

If you can show them that you're that person, the person who can deliver what they're looking for, then suddenly that faceless freelancer on Fiverr disappears from the picture.
