Football

I'm writing this the day after the penalty shoot-out win to Colombia in the World Cup. By the time you read this, we'll either be through to the semi-finals or we'll have crashed out and normal service will have been resumed.

But that doesn't matter too much. These letters are more about why football is important.

Because you're putting your hopes, your feelings and your well-beings in the arms (or feet) of a load of people you'll never meet, who don't even know you exist.

It's a roller-coaster. Every football fan says "but of course, we'll screw it up and do it the hard way".

Why do we do it to ourselves?

Take action: Which aspects of your life do you have almost no control over?
