Building a monthly plan

Once you have a quarterly plan, consisting of targets and goals for the key areas of your business, you can break them down into themes for each of the three months.

For example, a key goal for me is to deal with a backlog we have in project delivery. So the first month is all about completing our current projects. We won’t even think about sales targets till February. Of course, if something crops up, we have to roll with the punches, but if we do change course, I know what I’m sacrificing to make that alteration.

Take action Once you’ve got your quarterly plan, how does each month look?
