Do you believe that the customer is always right?

Just for a second, think about why they're hiring you.

They have a problem.

They need a technical solution.

They need a technical expert.

So if they're telling you how to do it, what sort of expert are you?

You need to be their trusted adviser

The consultant with the specialist knowledge

The one they turn to when they need help

Not the person who does whatever they ask

Because when that happens you redefine your relationship

You can charge more but do less

And still get better results for your clients
