A while back I did a course called 30x500. I highly recommend it; although it's aimed at software developers, you don't need to be one to benefit from it. The course is all about how you shouldn't base your business on an idea; instead you should research to find out what people actually want, what they will actually pay for, and then build your business around that.

But that's not what I want to talk about today.

Amy, who runs the course, often talks about how she's a hustler. And as I heard her say this, I kept thinking "that's not me". I'm no hustler. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

But, I think I had the meaning all wrong.

If you set yourself a target (for example, 8 meetings per month) and you get to the last week and realise you're 4 meetings short, what do you do? Shrug your shoulders and think "well, there's always next month"? Or grab your phone and start making some calls? If it's the latter, then that's hustle.

Take action: Why don't you hustle to hit your targets?
